A bit out of Stresa so you def need a car but there is ample parking. Lovely to have a cat on the premises, too! Really would recommend.

We managed to walk into Arona and back but it is quite a hike and the first time we got lost and Paolo went looking for us after we phoned but we did find out way back before we were 'rescued' after walking much further than necessary. Anyway, they are a very caring friendly couple who made the stay there even more delightful.
